Henna Artist Tiffany Graves
Mehndi, (the Hindi
term for the
traditional process
of applying henna
paste to the body
and the resulting
stains to the skin) is
gaining popularity in
the West as a form
of temporary body
art.

It cools the body,
calms the nerves,
acts as a sun block,
conditions the skin,
beautifies the
person, and is
considered to bring
wealth, health and
happiness to the
wearer.
Henna body adornment became fashionable in America in the mid 1990s.

It is painless... No needles...Just a natural paste that is applied to the skin using a
plastic cone, paint brush, or a fine tipped jacquard bottle.

The design is traditionally drawn on the hands and feet, where it lasts the longest.

The final color is reddish brown and can last anywhere from two to six weeks depending
on the after care and location of the design.
